India’s IPO Market Gathers Pace As Firms Line Up Offers Across Sectors

India’s primary markets are showing renewed momentum with a strong pipeline of initial public offerings (IPOs) attracting investor interest. According to the Economic Times IPO section, several deals have opened recently and still more are in the queue.

For example, a recent IPO launched at a 3 % premium over its issue price, after being oversubscribed nearly 49-times—indicating brisk demand. Industry commentary suggests that over the next seven to ten years, firms planning to go public could add between US $1.3-1.5 trillion in market capitalisation, highlighting the scale of the opportunity.

The IPO calendar lists companies currently open for subscription, those closing imminently, and those set to list soon. Investors are closely tracking price bands, grey-market premiums (GMPs), and subscription trends to assess listing performance potential.

While retail participation remains robust, some small-cap or SME issuers have seen muted interest—one IPO debuted at a 25 % discount over its issue price after closing subscribed 1.54-times.

With several large-ticket companies filing for IPOs and the regulatory backdrop showing support, the current environment appears favourable for new listings and fresh equity-capital raising.
