The BSE Sensex ended almost flat near the 78,000 mark after a highly volatile trading session. The index initially surged nearly 600 points on positive global cues and easing geopolitical tensions but later lost momentum due to profit booking at higher levels.
Similarly, the Nifty 50 slipped below 24,200 after failing to sustain intraday gains. Investors remained cautious as uncertainty around global oil prices and geopolitical developments persisted.
Market experts believe that while the broader trend remains cautiously positive, short-term volatility will continue. Investors are advised to focus on fundamentally strong stocks amid fluctuating global cues.
