Indian equity markets are expected to open on a positive note after softer-than-expected U.S. employment data strengthened hopes that the U.S. Federal Reserve could adopt a less aggressive interest-rate stance. The improved global outlook lifted sentiment across Asian markets and supported expectations of renewed foreign investment into emerging economies like India.
Falling crude oil prices have also provided relief to domestic markets by easing inflation concerns and improving the outlook for sectors such as aviation, paints, logistics and automobiles. Domestic institutional investors continued to provide support despite persistent foreign institutional selling.
Market participants will now closely monitor upcoming corporate earnings, macroeconomic data and global developments to determine whether the current positive momentum can be sustained.
