Adani Power reported a robust June-quarter performance with net profit rising 42% year-on-year to Rs. 4,806 crore, supported by strong electricity demand and improved operational efficiency. Alongside its earnings, the company’s board approved a fundraising plan of up to Rs. 15,000 crore to support future expansion and strengthen its financial position.
India’s growing electricity consumption, increasing industrial activity and expanding infrastructure projects continue to support demand for power producers. Market participants believe the additional capital will enable Adani Power to pursue capacity expansion and long-term growth opportunities. Investors will also watch the company’s future plans for renewable and thermal power assets.
