Netweb Technologies Raises Rs. 1,200 Cr. Through QIP

Netweb Technologies has raised Rs. 1,200 cr. through a qualified institutional placement (QIP), marking its first equity capital raise since its NSE and BSE listing in July 2023. The fundraise received participation from several large domestic and global institutional investors, including Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Nomura Asset Management, ICICI Prudential Mutual Fund and HDFC Mutual Fund.

The capital raising comes at a time when demand for high-performance computing, artificial intelligence infrastructure and data centres is increasing. Netweb can use the additional capital to strengthen its manufacturing capabilities and expand its technology infrastructure.

Despite the strong institutional response, the stock fell more than 2% after the QIP, indicating some near-term investor concern about dilution. The company’s ability to convert the fresh capital into higher revenue and profitability will remain an important factor going forward.
