Suzlon Energy is planning an investment of around Rs. 10,000 cr. in Andhra Pradesh, with the company targeting development of around 1,325 MW of new wind projects in Anantapur district. The expansion forms part of Suzlon’s broader renewable-energy strategy in the state.
The company has already established a substantial manufacturing presence in Andhra Pradesh. The new investment is expected to strengthen its regional footprint and support additional renewable-energy capacity.
The expansion also comes as India continues to increase its renewable-energy capacity. For Suzlon, higher project activity could provide additional opportunities across turbine manufacturing, installation and long-term servicing.
