Adani Airport Holdings has signed binding agreements to raise approximately $1 billion, or Rs.9,825 cr., in primary equity capital from a group of major global investors.
The investment involves investors including Alpha Wave Global, Premji Invest, Temasek and funds managed by BlackRock. The transaction reportedly values the airport business at a pre-money equity valuation of around $18 billion.
The fundraising could strengthen Adani Airports’ financial position and support future expansion plans. As India’s aviation sector continues to grow, airport infrastructure is expected to require significant investment, making this one of the major infrastructure funding developments of the day.
