Indian equity benchmarks opened higher on Friday as declining crude oil prices and bargain buying provided support after recent market weakness. The Nifty 50 rose around 0.20% to 23,315.80, while the Sensex gained approximately 0.22% to 74,474.19 in early trade.
Most sectoral indices opened in positive territory, although gains remained limited amid continued uncertainty over foreign fund flows and global interest rates. Investors are also monitoring the large IPO pipeline, including the ongoing National Stock Exchange issue, which could absorb a portion of market liquidity.
