Gold prices slipped in early Asian trading on Monday as investors assessed the impact of higher inflation expectations and the Federal Reserve’s recent interest-rate increase. Spot gold was around $4,368 an ounce, while US gold futures also moved lower.
In India, domestic gold prices remained elevated despite the international decline. The 24-carat gold rate was around Rs.1,55,830 per 10 grams in the latest market data. Investors are balancing safe-haven demand from geopolitical tensions against pressure from higher interest rates.
