Brent crude prices eased to around $101.6 per barrel on Monday as higher Middle East exports and plans by G7 countries to release emergency oil stocks reduced some immediate supply concerns.
The decline comes despite continuing geopolitical risks in the region. Crude prices remain above $100 a barrel as the conflict involving Iran and disruptions around the Strait of Hormuz continue to create uncertainty for global energy markets.
