RBL Bank reported a sharp improvement in its September-quarter performance, with net profit rising to Rs.481.7 crore. The increase was supported by loan growth and a 37.4% year-on-year rise in net interest income, according to reports on the results.
The bank also benefited from foreign-currency deposit inflows raised under a special Reserve Bank of India scheme, which helped strengthen its funding base. These developments come as lenders continue to balance credit growth with funding costs and asset quality.
Investors will be monitoring the bank’s margins, deposit mobilisation and bad-loan indicators in the coming quarters. Strong profit growth in one period does not by itself establish that the same pace will continue.
