Gold and silver prices declined in Mumbai on Tuesday, according to All India Bullion reference data. The indicative rate for 24-carat gold of 999 fineness was around Rs.1,49,553 per 10 grams, while 999-purity silver was approximately Rs.2,24,652 per kilogram.
The reference rates were lower than the previous session, reflecting changes in international bullion prices and investor positioning. Gold can respond to shifts in the US dollar, bond yields and demand for defensive assets, while silver is also influenced by industrial demand.
These figures are indicative bullion-market rates before GST and jewellery-making charges. Actual retail prices may vary by dealer and location.
