Hunger Pangs, the operator associated with the Burma Burma restaurant brand, has filed a draft red herring prospectus for a proposed initial public offering. The company plans to raise approximately Rs.150 crore through a fresh issue, according to an IPO report published on October 17.
The proposed fundraise is linked to the company’s plans to expand its restaurant operations, explore additional brands and cuisines, and strengthen its delivery and direct-to-consumer activities. The filing marks an early step in the process of seeking public-market funding.
The proposed issue is not yet the same as an IPO open for subscription. Investors will need to wait for regulatory progress, updated offer documents and the final issue timetable before evaluating the company’s financials, expansion plans and associated risks.
