Jio Platforms Ltd. has raised Rs.8,110 crore from 212 anchor investor accounts and schemes ahead of its proposed initial public offering. Investors participating in the anchor allocation include Life Insurance Corporation of India, BlackRock, Fidelity, Singapore’s GIC and the Abu Dhabi Investment Authority.
The IPO is scheduled to open for public subscription on October 21 and close on October 23, with a price band of Rs.1,065–1,119 per share. The company plans to raise approximately Rs.30,213 crore through the issue, making it one of India’s largest proposed public offerings.
The strong institutional participation indicates substantial interest ahead of the public issue, but it does not guarantee listing gains. Investors should assess the company’s valuation, financial performance, business risks and offer documents before making an investment decision.
