Steel Strips Wheels Ltd. reported standalone net profit of approximately Rs.119 crore for Q2 FY27, up sharply from the corresponding period last year, according to its latest results coverage. The company also approved a greenfield capital-expenditure plan of around Rs.1,400 crore.
The company manufactures steel and alloy wheels for automotive applications. Its business performance is linked to vehicle production, demand from original-equipment manufacturers, export orders and raw-material costs. The proposed investment points to an expansion plan, although the final impact will depend on implementation schedules, funding and demand conditions.
Investors will be watching capacity utilisation, the pace of capital expenditure, debt requirements and whether the new investment generates adequate returns. Strong quarterly profit growth should be considered alongside the company’s future funding and execution requirements.
