Ukraine has indicated that trilateral discussions involving Ukraine, Russia and the United States could resume in November, offering a possible route back to negotiations after earlier efforts stalled. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has also called for direct engagement with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
However, the prospect of renewed talks comes amid continuing drone and missile attacks. Differences over military support, security arrangements and attacks on energy infrastructure remain major obstacles, leaving the timing and outcome of any negotiations uncertain.
