Eco Recycling Limited (Ecoreco), India’s first and leading e-waste management company, has launched a nationwide initiative titled #1BillionChargers, aimed at encouraging citizens to responsibly dispose of unused or discarded mobile chargers lying idle in their homes.
The campaign seeks to promote sustainable recycling practices and contribute to the circular economy by recovering valuable materials from e-waste. Under the initiative, individuals can courier their old chargers to Ecoreco’s Mumbai facility and share a photo via email to receive a digital certificate of appreciation.
The movement supports the Production–Consumption–Recycling–Reuse cycle, helping to minimize environmental hazards while reinforcing Ecoreco’s leadership in responsible e-waste management.
For Ecoreco, this initiative is expected to strengthen engagement with environmentally conscious consumers, enhance nationwide brand visibility, and create new opportunities in e-waste collection, Extended Producer Responsibility collaborations, and recycling innovation. The company remains committed to advancing India’s transition towards responsible recycling, sustainable resource recovery, and a cleaner, circular economy.
