Allied Blenders and Distillers Ltd (ABD) is India’s largest domestic spirits firm by volume with a portfolio spanning whisky, brandy, rum, vodka, and gin. Its flagship brands include Officer’s Choice Whisky, Officer’s Choice Blue, Sterling Reserve, and ICONiQ White. The company operates a network of 37 manufacturing units, comprising 9 owned bottling plants, 2 distilleries, 1 PET bottle manufacturing unit, and 25 contract facilities across India.
ABD India’s largest domestic spirits firm by volume, delivered a strong performance in Q2FY26 driven by accelerated premiumization, improved operational efficiency, and margin expansion. The company reported a PAT of Rs. 63 crore, up 32.3% y-o-y, while income from operations rose 14.4% y-o-y to Rs. 995 crore. EBITDA grew 23.6% y-o-y to Rs. 130 crore with margins improving to 13.1%, marking ABD’s fifth consecutive profitable quarter since listing.

The PET bottle manufacturing unit commissioned within timelines in Q2FY26 validates our execution capabilities and is already EBITDA accretive. With a strong H1FY26 and a buoyant festive season in Q3FY26, we expect the growth momentum to continue in H2FY26. ABD’s Prestige & Above (P&A) portfolio continued to gain traction, delivering 9 million cases in Q2FY26, up 8.4% y-o-y. The P&A segment’s volume salience rose to 47.1% (vs 39.7% in Q2FY25), while value salience improved to 56.9% (vs 49.0% in Q2FY25), driven by strong consumer demand for its core brands. The company’s flagship brand, ICONiQ White, maintained its strong growth in India and expanded its international footprint, resonating well with young consumers.
ABD also launched a refreshed blend of Sterling Reserve B7 with the “So Smooth, Must Be Magic” 360° campaign and #B7MagicBarTour across seven states, driving significant engagement with over 100 million digital impressions and 50 million video views, reinforcing its consumer connect.
During the quarter, ABD commissioned its Rs. 115 crore PET bottle manufacturing unit at Rangapur, Telangana, with an annual capacity of 600 million bottles. This forms part of ABD’s Rs. 525 crore backward integration program aimed at enhancing efficiency and improving gross margins by around 300 basis points by FY28. The new facility, equipped with automated and energy-efficient systems, is expected to optimize logistics and strengthen supply chain capabilities.
ABD Maestro, the company’s super-premium and luxury spirits subsidiary, expanded into duty-free retail at Bengaluru and Delhi International Airports, enhancing its presence in the travel retail segment. Internationally, ABD now operates in 30 countries as of September 2025, with premium brands like Arthaus Blended Malt Scotch Whisky and Zoya Gin gaining presence in global markets.
ABD’s premium portfolio earned global recognition with multiple awards at the 2025 Spirits Selection by Concours Mondial de Bruxelles, where Woodburns Contemporary Indian Malt Whisky won the Grand Gold and Best Revelation Blended Whisky of the Year. The firm was also honoured as the “Company of the Year – Domestic” at the Spiritz Conclave & Achievers’ Awards 2025, highlighting its leadership in premiumization and product innovation.
Additionally, ABD received the Gold Award in the Food & Beverage category at the 2024 Vision Awards Annual Report Competition hosted by the League of American Communications Professionals, ranking among the Top 5 Indian reports for technical excellence and investor communication.
