Footwear major Bata India reported a healthy Q1 FY27 performance, with consolidated net profit increasing 23% YoY to Rs. 63.98 cr. Revenue from operations rose around 4% to Rs. 978.95 cr. during the quarter. The company attributed the improvement in profitability to better operational efficiency, cost discipline and stronger execution across its sales channels.
The company also benefited from premiumisation and volume growth. Investors will now track consumer demand, festive-season sales and the company’s store-expansion strategy to determine whether the improvement in margins can be sustained through the rest of FY27.
