Bhansali Engineering Polymers Ltd. has commissioned a 1,300-kilowatt solar power plant at its Satnoor facility. The project involved capital expenditure of approximately Rs.6.42 crore and is intended to increase the use of renewable electricity at the manufacturing site.
Greater use of solar power can help industrial companies manage part of their electricity requirements and reduce dependence on conventional power sources. The financial benefit will depend on the plant’s generation, actual consumption, grid arrangements and the cost of the company’s existing electricity supply.
