Google Launches Market Access Program to Help Indian AI Startups Scale Globally

Google has announced a new Market Access Program aimed at supporting Indian AI-first startups to overcome barriers in scaling their products and expanding into global markets. The initiative was unveiled at the Google AI Startups Conclave in New Delhi on January 15, 2026.

What the Program Offers

  • Enterprise readiness training: Startups get specialised guidance on global enterprise sales, pricing strategies and buyer psychology, helping them transition from pilot projects to repeatable, revenue-driven enterprise adoption.
  • Access to Google’s global network: Participants can leverage Google’s connections, including introductions to CIOs and CXOs of major international enterprises, to accelerate market entry.
  • Infrastructure support: Startups can build on the same cloud and AI stack used by Google globally, backed by advanced infrastructure including clean-energy data centres.
  • AI models and tools: The program also provides access to Google’s latest AI models — such as the Gemini series and new open-source models like MedGemma 1.5 (for healthcare applications) and FunctionGemma (for on-device AI), enabling deep-tech innovation.

Why This Matters
India’s AI ecosystem is maturing, with startups increasingly building real-world, revenue-ready solutions across sectors such as healthcare, agriculture and education. However, many founders find it difficult to move from prototype to scalable business models and gain traction in international markets. The Market Access Program aims to bridge this gap by combining technology, training and global go-to-market support.

Google’s move signals confidence in India’s AI potential — a market that industry projections suggest could reach $126 billion by 2030 — and reflects an effort to help Indian startups become globally competitive technology leaders.

In short:

  • The program helps startups become enterprise-ready and globally scalable.
  • It leverages Google’s infrastructure, models and networks to support growth.
  • It targets the critical stage between pilot success and global commercial adoption.
