Hindustan Zinc Ltd. reported a substantial increase in profitability for the September quarter of FY27, with net profit rising to approximately Rs.6,412 crore. Revenue increased 77% year-on-year, supported by stronger realisations and the contribution of its zinc, lead and silver businesses, according to the latest quarterly results coverage.
The company’s operating performance also benefited from an improvement in its EBITDA margin, which was reported at approximately 62%. Higher silver prices have been an important factor for the diversified metals producer, while production volumes, metal prices and operating costs remain key influences on its earnings.
Investors will be watching international zinc and silver prices, production levels, mining costs and demand from industrial customers. Although the latest figures indicate strong year-on-year growth, future profitability will depend partly on commodity-price movements and the company’s ability to maintain operating efficiency.
