Indian Railway Finance Corporation Ltd. (IRFC) has signed a Rs.4,200 crore loan agreement with Damodar Valley Corporation (DVC) to support renewable-energy projects. The agreement was disclosed by IRFC on September 28 and is among the company’s latest financing developments.
The financing is linked to DVC’s renewable-energy plans, giving IRFC exposure to funding requirements in the clean-energy segment. The development also reflects the role of financial institutions in supporting large-scale energy-transition and infrastructure projects.
