JSW Steel reported a positive production update for August, with consolidated crude steel production rising around 3% YoY to 24.65 lakh tonnes.
The company’s Indian operations performed better, with domestic crude steel production recording around 4% growth. Capacity utilisation in India stood at approximately 88%, reflecting continued activity across its manufacturing facilities.
However, the company’s US operations witnessed a decline in production. Investors will therefore monitor domestic demand, steel prices and global economic conditions to assess the company’s performance during the coming months.
