Lalithaa Jewellery Mart opens its IPO today, August 17, marking one of the biggest primary-market offerings of the week. The company has fixed the price band at Rs. 190–201 per share, with the issue size at approximately Rs. 1,700 cr. The offering comprises a Rs. 1,200-cr. fresh issue and an offer for sale of around Rs. 500 cr.
The jewellery retailer is entering the market at a time when India’s organised jewellery sector continues to expand. Investors will assess the company’s margins, cash flows, store network and working-capital requirements before deciding whether the valuation is attractive.
