Larsen & Toubro bags multi-crore projects

Engineering and construction giant Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has announced a fresh set of multi-crore contract wins in India, marking another strong wave of order inflows for its Buildings & Factories business vertical, the company said in a regulatory filing.

Under the recent batch of orders, L&T secured a major EPC (engineering, procurement and construction) contract to build Advait Lok — a cultural and spiritual museum at Omkareshwar in Madhya Pradesh — for the state tourism development corporation. The project will showcase the life and philosophy of Acharya Shankar, involving architectural finishes, intricate stone carvings, mechanical and electrical systems, external development and operations and maintenance over five years, with delivery expected in three years.

In another significant task, L&T won the redevelopment of the R G Baruah Sports Complex in Guwahati, Assam, which includes the construction of a FIFA-compliant football stadium with a capacity of 25,000 seats, along with allied sports facilities to be completed in about 27 months.

The company also secured a contract from a reputed developer for the construction of luxury high-rise residential towers in Mumbai, further boosting its order book across sectors. L&T classifies these new projects as “large,” typically valued between Rs. 2,500 crore and Rs. 5,000 crore in total.

These wins underline L&T’s continued traction in major infrastructure, urban development and complex architectural projects, reinforcing its position as a key player in India’s engineering and construction landscape.
