Money Times Talk (MTTs) – 02/10/2026

  • Hard-earned money deserves respect: Investment decisions should not be based solely on YouTube videos, social media reels or sensational content, where views and engagement may take priority over investor interests. Long-term wealth creation requires discipline, patience, asset allocation and consistency. 1) Avoid emotional decisions. 2) Stay consistent. 3) Ignore unnecessary noise. 4) Focus on fundamentals. Protecting capital is as important as growing it. Before investing, ask whether the decision is based on logic and financial goals or temporary excitement.

  • Can a great business still be a bad investment? Yes. A strong company can deliver poor returns if bought at an excessive valuation. Successful investing is not just about finding great businesses but buying them at a reasonable price.

  • Before researching a company, check: Debt/Equity, EPS growth, free cash flow, HNI holding, interest coverage, net margin, operating margin, PE/EV-EBITDA, promoter holding and pledge, revenue growth, ROE and ROCE.

  • Smart money doesn’t chase price, it traps traders first: The Trick Candle or Spring Candle is a price-action setup often used to describe stop-loss hunting, shaking out weak hands and a sharp reversal. Such volatile price movements can occur across stocks, indices, crypto, forex and commodities.

  • Bright Brothers has reputed clients including Alstom, Ather, Bluestar, Eureka Forbes, Genus, Havells, Siemens and Whirlpool. It is diversifying its customer base and expanding its composites business in domestic and international markets. Management remains optimistic on innovation and long-term growth. Stock may surpass its 52-week high of Rs.377.

  • Blackrose continues to advance its PAM solid project towards commercialisation, while downstream acrylamide products are progressing as planned. A decision on the specialty amines project with Koei Chemical is expected during the year. The 200% FY27 interim dividend is a positive trigger, while the stock remains attractive versus its all-time high of Rs.239.
