Money Times Talk (MTTs) – 05/10/2026

  • As per astrology view, some important turning dates for the market are 5th, 8th, 12th, 16th, 20th, 22nd and 26th October 2026.

  • As per market grapevine, short-term stocks to keep on the radar include Anant Raj, Datamatics, DCB Bank, HSCL, IOLCP, KLL, VILAS, Morepenlab, Pennar Industries, Prince Pipes & Fittings, RBL Bank, RDB Rasayan, Shetron, Talbros Engineering, YES Bank and Vodafone Idea. However, focus should remain on a few selected companies that may report better Q2 results rather than tracking too many stocks.

  • For F&O/options traders, some lifetime tips from a market veteran are to avoid overtrading, margin funding, revenge trading and FOMO. Strict discipline, proper risk management and capital protection are equally important for traders and investors.

  • IVP is an Allana Group company manufacturing foundry chemical, PU formulations and flexible-packaging adhesives, with ~50,000-tonne annual capacity and 150+ products. Reserves stand at Rs.147 cr. against equity of Rs.10.3 cr., while promoter holding is 71.32%. The company is reducing debt, expanding value-added products and improving capacity utilisation. FY26 capex stood at Rs.2.56 cr. The stock may retest its Rs.290 high.

  • Matter of concern: The BSE website has reportedly been slow in recent weeks, affecting access to announcements, corporate actions, shareholding patterns and company data, particularly during the quarterly results season. Faster data access and higher website capacity are needed to avoid difficulties for analysts and investors.

  • Huge negative: Maharashtra’s drought conditions, along with erratic rainfall and El Niño concerns, could affect agriculture, rural consumption and several industries. The impact could extend to consumers, industry, foreign exchange and the trade deficit.
