- IPOs Alert: On Thursday, Powerica listed at Rs.375 against its IPO price of Rs.395 and closed at Rs.390. Amirchand Jagdish Kumar Exports listed at Rs.195 versus its IPO price of Rs.212 and ended at Rs.175.50, about 21% below the issue price. For now, it may be prudent to avoid IPOs until an official ceasefire announcement.
- As per market grapevine, crude needs to remain below $80 for real strength in Indian equity markets. Until then, markets may continue to make lower levels with selling on every bounce. FIIs currently lack motivation to stay invested amid currency depreciation, taxes such as LTCG, STCG, STT and other charges.
