Money Times Talk (MTTs) – 08/09/2026

  • NSE is reportedly targeting a Rs.5.26 lakh crore valuation for its IPO, with shares discussed at Rs.1,700-1,900 and an expected issue size of around Rs.31,500 crore, potentially making it India’s biggest IPO. The issue is expected to be a 100% OFS and may launch in September, while GMP is reportedly around Rs.270-290. Final details remain unconfirmed. Jio’s mega IPO may also come before Diwali. The two mega IPOs could keep Sensex/Nifty range-bound while draining liquidity from cash stocks.

  • Stocks to watch for short-term opportunities include Anantraj, Arrow Green, Atlanta Electricals, Blackrose, BSE SME Rajesh Power, Chemcon Speciality Chemicals, DCB Bank, Haldyn Glass, HFCL, HSCL, IOLCP, Morepenlab, RBL Bank, Southwest and Texmopipes. Keep on radar/watch list.

  • Fundamental analysis focuses on what a company is worth through revenue, profit, debt, margins, PE, ROE and cash flow, while trend analysis focuses on where money is flowing through price action, volumes, demand-supply, liquidity, momentum and breakouts. Fundamentals identify what to buy, while trend helps identify when the market is ready to reward it. Demand and supply ultimately drive prices, making trend and price action important when hunting for potential multibaggers. Risk management remains the first rule.

  • NSE will revise its pre-open auction framework from 7th September. The session will remain from 9:00-9:15 am, with market and limit orders allowed during the first five minutes and only limit orders from 9:05-9:10 am. Order matching and opening price determination will shift to 9:10-9:12 am, with market-market orders receiving priority.

  • On Friday, 28th August 2026, bullish breakouts with strong volumes were seen in Arrow Green, Blackrose, BSE SME Rajesh Power, Haldyn Glass, HSCL, IOLCP and Texmopipes. Keep these seven stocks on the radar for Monday.

  • Very negative for bulls and investors: El Niño risks, lower domestic production and falling pulse imports could push inflation higher. Skymet has indicated a 70% probability of drought, raising concerns over food inflation and purchasing power. Higher inflation could ultimately weigh on consumption and the broader Indian economy.
