Money Times Talk (MTTs) – 16/10/2026

  • As per market veteran, drought risks and the West Asia crisis may add to inflationary pressures. The India-US yield differential has narrowed to 190 bps from 450 bps 2–3 years ago. Another 25 bps RBI rate hike in December is anticipated. Fed Governor Michael Barr says further hikes may be needed to bring inflation to 2%. The next Fed meeting is scheduled for October 27–28, 2026. Until 16-11-2026, Q2 results may trigger stock-specific volatility and profit-booking opportunities on rallies.

  • As per market grapevine, five value gems to watch amid uncertainty. 1) Chemcon Speciality Chemicals looks attractive at Rs.211 versus its all-time high of Rs.731, with a 65% FY26 dividend and 72% Q1 PAT growth. Its products serve semiconductor, pharma and oil & gas industries. 2) Haldyn Glass looks attractive at Rs.140 after 90% Q1 PAT growth. The CEO’s wife bought 61,000 shares at Rs.141 last month, while new coloured beer bottle manufacturing and Rs.150 cr. capex could support growth. 3) IVP trades at Rs.220 at a forward P/E of 4x, with promoters holding 71.32% and HNIs 7.09%. FY26 PAT rose 75% to Rs.18.80 cr., while Q1FY27 PAT increased 1,078% to Rs.14.02 cr. 4) RDB Rasayan looks attractive at Rs.157 at a forward P/E of 6x, with promoter holding of 69.83% and Bodie Corporate/HNIs holding 17.75%. 5) Talbros Engineering trades at Rs.622 at 11x P/E versus peers at 33x, offering potential medium- to long-term upside.

  • Insecticides India has cut its FY27 growth outlook as weak monsoon conditions weigh on agrochemical demand. Caution is advisable in agro-related stocks until the outlook improves.

  • Anant Raj signed an MoU through its Singapore subsidiary with Orange Business Services and the Haryana government to expand cloud and data centre services globally. This follows its June 2026 commitment to invest Rs.25,000 crore in Haryana’s data centre infrastructure. Keep on radar for medium- to long-term gains.

Chemcon Speciality Chemicals, a speciality chemical manufacturer serving semiconductor, pharma, agrochemical and oil & gas industries, is the only Indian manufacturer of HMDS and Zinc Bromide, the third-largest HMDS manufacturer globally and the largest CMIC manufacturer worldwide. A strong FY27 start, improving realisations and new products support its growth outlook. The stock looks attractive versus its all-time high of Rs.731.
