Money Times Talk (MTTs) – 23/09/26

  • As per market veteran, shifting from loss-making stocks to businesses with better earnings visibility is painful, but short-term pain can support long-term gains. Quick profits may feel exciting, but steady compounding wins over time. Protect capital before chasing returns.

  • Very important rule for finding a multibagger: Strong financials alone are not enough. Promoter mindset, commitment and investor-friendliness matter equally. Before charts, ratios or news, study the promoter’s track record and behaviour.

  • Buy in FOMO and sell in panic = capital loss and mental stress. Buy in panic and sell in FOMO = potential capital gain and peace of mind. Follow a plan, avoid panic selling during volatility and reassess after markets settle. Excessive churning can destroy capital; stay focused on earnings and quality businesses.

  • Big alert: Companies that benefited from low-cost inventory delivered strong Q1 results, but Q1 performance may not be sustainable in Q2. The market is likely to reward companies with better Q2 earnings visibility and positive Q3 commentary. Focus on a few selected companies with these triggers.

  • As per market grapevine, markets may remain volatile with a sell-on-rise mood due to high crude, inflation, weak monsoon, heavy IPOs and large supply through block deals, OFS and QIPs. Avoid overtrading and leverage. Focus on selected growth stocks with strong Q1 EBITDA and optimistic Q2FY27 outlook. Atlanta Electricals, Ambica Agarbathies & Aroma, Blackrose, Chemcon, Haldyn Glass, Jyoti, Prince Pipes, Rajesh Power and Sukhjit Starch remain on the radar for potential 2-3 month gains.

  • As per market veteran, every investor has a different risk profile, horizon, goals and conviction. Never copy another portfolio blindly. Financial literacy and disciplined money management are lifelong skills that can reduce financial stress and improve preparedness for the future.
