Nestlé India Delivers Strong Q1 Results Despite Rising Input Costs

Nestlé India posted a strong set of June-quarter numbers, with net profit rising 48% year-on-year to Rs. 975 crore while revenue increased 25%, supported by healthy consumer demand across its key product portfolio. Strong sales of packaged foods, beverages and premium offerings helped the company deliver robust top-line growth despite inflationary pressures.

Management, however, highlighted that higher prices of edible oils, coffee, cocoa and packaging materials continue to put pressure on operating margins. The company remains focused on product innovation, premiumisation and distribution expansion to sustain long-term growth. Analysts believe Nestlé India remains well positioned within the FMCG sector, although raw material inflation will remain a key factor to watch during the coming quarters.
