Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. has fully commissioned its 20-GW Rajasthan renewable-energy evacuation project under Phase III, Part C1, with the commissioning effective September 22, according to reports published ahead of Monday’s session.
Transmission infrastructure is essential to carry electricity from renewable-energy projects to the wider grid. The commissioning is relevant to India’s expanding renewable-energy capacity, although the financial contribution to Power Grid will depend on the project’s regulated revenue arrangements and operating performance.
