UltraTech Cement Ltd. reported consolidated net profit attributable to the parent of approximately Rs.1,494 crore for the July–September quarter of FY27, representing a 21.3% year-on-year increase. Consolidated net sales rose 18.9% to Rs.23,024 crore, while profit before interest, depreciation and tax increased 17.3% to Rs.3,832 crore.
Domestic grey cement sales volumes grew 13.8% to 35.94 million tonnes, compared with 31.58 million tonnes in the corresponding quarter last year. The company attributed the operating performance to higher volumes, a wider market presence, cost optimisation and an increased focus on premium products. Capacity utilisation also improved to 71% from 66%.
Despite the growth, the company continues to face challenges from monsoon-related disruptions and geopolitical uncertainty in West Asia. Investors will be watching cement prices, energy and freight expenses, margins and capacity expansion as indicators of future performance.
