Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) continued to trim their exposure to Indian equities amid geopolitical uncertainty and elevated commodity prices. Although domestic institutional investors have offset part of the selling, overseas investors remain cautious as they assess global economic conditions and corporate earnings.
Market experts believe sustained domestic inflows have helped prevent a sharper correction. However, investor sentiment is likely to remain sensitive to developments in the Middle East, global interest-rate expectations and the progress of India’s earnings season.
