Gold prices in India have moved higher during August, with the latest data showing 24-carat gold around Rs. 1.49 lakh per 10 grams and 22-carat gold near Rs. 1.36 lakh. Gold’s recent strength comes as investors continue to assess geopolitical risks, currency movements and the global interest-rate outlook.
Silver is also being closely watched as both an investment asset and an industrial metal. Market participants are likely to remain cautious because progress in US-Iran negotiations could reduce safe-haven demand, while any renewed escalation could quickly increase buying interest in precious metals.
