Gold remained close to elevated levels in domestic markets on Thursday. The 24-carat gold rate was around Rs.1,49,560 per 10 grams, while silver was trading at approximately Rs.2,49,900 per kg. Internationally, COMEX gold was around $4,180.80 an ounce.
Precious metals continue to draw support from geopolitical uncertainty and changing expectations around interest rates. Investors are also monitoring the movement in the US dollar and bond yields, both of which can influence bullion prices.
Silver was also firm despite a marginal decline in international futures. Continued demand for safe-haven assets and uncertainty surrounding global energy supplies remain among the factors influencing precious-metal markets.
