Yemen’s Houthi movement said on Monday, October 26, that it had attacked Saudi Arabia’s East–West crude-oil pumping stations and Riyadh airport. Saudi authorities had not immediately confirmed the reported damage. Separately, the Saudi-led coalition said it had destroyed two ballistic-missile launchers in Yemen, one of which it said had been used in an attempted strike towards Riyadh.
The claims add to concerns about regional security and energy infrastructure as the wider Middle East conflict continues. Any confirmed damage to oil facilities or disruption to transport routes could affect global supply expectations and shipping costs. For India, prolonged disruption could raise energy import expenses and add pressure to inflation, although the direct impact will depend on whether the reported damage is confirmed and whether supplies are interrupted.
