- · Focus today – US Inflation data. TCS and Infosys Q3 results in the post market today.
- · Strong opening in the Asian markets, US S&P 500 Index ended nearly record high, cooling down oil price and ahead of US Inflation data to be announce today, may open domestic equity market on a positive note. All eyes now turn to the crucial US December inflation data today, which could provide crucial insights into the future trajectory of central bank policy. Both China and India inflation data to be release tomorrow while IT majors Infosys and TCS to be announce Q3 results in the post market today. US Fed officials dovish commentary lifted US market up to 0.7% while S&P ended to nearly all time high. Japan Index soared 550 points to 34 years high, gains in Japanese equities partly reflect a weaker yen, which fell to the lowest level in a month against the dollar. Back home, Gift Nifty is up 0.1% while yesterday Nifty recovered smartly from the intra-day low led by heavyweights buying interest like Reliance Industries, TCS, ICICI Bank, Tata Motor. Strong retail participation, hope of good quarterly results and long fund buying interest will be positive for the market sentiment. Expects Rail, Infra, real estate, EV, oil marketing stocks rally to continue due to impressive quarterly earnings update and strong order book. IT stocks will be in focus on ahead of IT majors Infosys and TCS to be release today in the post market today.

- · US Market –U.S. stocks experienced a modest uptick on Wednesday, as investor sentiment subdued ahead of the release of crucial inflation data and the kick-off of bank earnings season. Dow Jones 170 points, or 0.45 percent,. The S&P 500 added 26.95 points, or 0.57 percent, to 4,783 to 2-year high while Nasdaq Composite gained 0.7%.
- · Asian Market –-- Asian equities open on strong note ahead of US inflation data due later Thursday. Bitcoin climbed after US regulators approved exchange-traded funds tied to the digital currency. Australian and Japanese stocks gained, with Tokyo benchmarks on pace to retest fresh three-decade highs achieved in the prior session and surged by 1.5%.
- · European Market –European stocks ended flat as investors awaited a key US inflation report Thursday for clues about the path of Federal Reserve interest-rate cuts. UK, Germany and France Index ended on a flat note.
- · Oil Price Update –.Oil held a decline by 1% to below $78/bbl after an unexpected increase in US oil inventory , overshadowing growing geopolitical risks in the Middle East.
- · Gold Price Update –Gold was steady at $2027/ounce ahead of a crucial US inflation report, with markets tempering expectations for Federal Reserve rate cuts early this year
- · Previous Day Market Update –. Renewed buying interest seen in Nifty heavyweights Reliance Industries, TCS, ICICI Bank, Tata Motor, and HCL Tech that lifted Nifty by 73 points or 0.3% to close above 21600 mark. Nifty recovered nearly 200 points or 1% from the intra-day low of 21448 ( intra-day high of 21641). Recovery in the market came in the last hour of trade ahead of major IT Q3 earnings scheduled for tomorrow and the important inflation readings this week that could impact the interest rate outlook. IT, Auto, Rail, and Media stocks were major gainers today. Media stocks witnessed the biggest gains today. Nifty Media Index climbed up by 4% today. FIIs were net sellers Rs1720cr while DIIs were net buyers Rs2080cr Yesterday.
- · Nifty Technical Levels – Nifty formed a small bodied Bullish candle on daily frame with longer lower shadow indicating buying visible at support zones. Now it has to hold above 21550 zones, for an up move towards 21750 then 21850 zones while on the downside support exists at 21450 and 21300 zones.
- · Bank Nifty Technical Levels – Bank Nifty formed a Bullish candle on daily scale as it closed above its opening levels but still forming lower highs - lower lows from the last three sessions. Now it has to cross and hold above 47500 zones for a bounce towards 47777 then 48000 zones while on the downside support is seen at 47000 then 46750 levels.
