Indian equities are expected to open with limited movement on Monday as investors assess high crude prices, elevated US bond yields and continuing geopolitical tensions. GIFT Nifty was trading around 23,338, pointing towards a largely flat opening. The Nifty 50 had ended Friday at 23,346.40, while the Sensex closed at 74,294.96.
Both benchmark indices recorded their sixth consecutive weekly decline last week, their longest losing streak in six years. Foreign investors bought Rs.599.54 crore of Indian equities on Friday, while domestic institutions purchased Rs.1,019.69 crore. Investors are now watching whether buying from domestic institutions can offset continued pressure from global factors.
