Indian benchmark indices opened higher on Tuesday, supported by gains in global equities, softer US Treasury yields and some easing in crude oil prices. The Sensex rose around 88 points to 74,947.32, while the Nifty 50 gained about 41 points to 23,455.15 in early trade. Technology stocks remained under pressure, while several other sectors moved higher.
Global markets were also supported by expectations of possible diplomatic engagement between the United States and Iran. Investors are tracking movements in crude prices, foreign fund flows and developments around US interest rates as they assess the direction of Indian equities.
