Indian equity markets are expected to open higher on Monday after both the Sensex and Nifty 50 recorded their eighth consecutive weekly decline last week. GIFT Nifty futures were trading around 22,639, indicating a potentially stronger start for the domestic benchmarks.
Investor sentiment improved after weaker-than-expected US jobs data reduced expectations of another Federal Reserve rate hike this month. Lower crude prices also provided some relief, although continued foreign selling and elevated global bond yields remain concerns for Indian equities.
