As discussed yesterday market behaviour remained on the expected lines during the day, as prices reached at high level attracted the profit booking upto day low of 24427.95 and it gave closing near to our level of 24605 i.e. closed at 24614.9
Indian benchmark indices turned lower on Tuesday as investors booked some profits following Monday’s sharp gains and remained cautious ahead of the Reserve Bank of India’s monetary-policy decision. The Nifty 50 fell 0.64% to 24,614.90, while the Sensex declined 0.27% to 78,428.95. Financial and IT stocks were among the major drags.

Precious metals remain on investors’ radar as geopolitical uncertainty continues alongside changing expectations around global interest rates. Gold continues to benefit from its safe-haven status during periods of conflict, while silver is being influenced by both investment demand and its industrial applications.
Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) delivered a strong Q1 FY27 performance, with standalone net profit jumping 112% YoY to Rs. 17,034 cr. Revenue from operations increased 45.2% YoY to Rs. 46,460 cr. during the quarter. The company also reported its highest-ever quarterly profit before tax of Rs. 22,848 cr.
FSN E-Commerce Ventures, which operates Nykaa, reported a sharp improvement in profitability for Q1 FY27. Consolidated profit after tax rose around 226% YoY to Rs. 80 cr., compared with Rs. 24.47 cr. in the corresponding quarter last year. Revenue from operations increased 29.1% to Rs. 2,782 cr.
FMCG major Marico reported a strong Q1 FY27 performance, with consolidated net profit increasing 25% YoY to Rs. 630 cr. Revenue rose 22.9% to approximately Rs. 3,957 cr., supported by volume growth and improved operating performance.
Milky Mist Dairy Food has reduced the size of its proposed IPO to around Rs. 1,553 cr. from the earlier target of Rs. 2,035 cr. The reduction follows pre-listing transactions involving a unit of Singapore’s Temasek, which acquired a stake in the company.
The allotment of shares in the MV Electrosystems IPO is expected to be finalised today after the issue received an exceptionally strong response from investors. The Rs. 290-cr offering closed on August 3 with overall subscription reported at around 188 times, making the allotment highly competitive, particularly for retail applicants.
The Anawil Wire & Engineering IPO is currently open for subscription and is scheduled to close on August 5. The SME issue is seeking to raise around Rs. 177.8 cr., with a price band of Rs. 257–270 per share. The issue opened on August 3 and has already attracted strong investor participation.
