India’s primary market is showing a noticeable change in investor behaviour, with retail investors becoming more selective about new IPOs. According to the latest data, retail investors did not fully subscribe to their reserved portion in nearly one-third of the 42 mainboard IPOs launched in 2026 so far.

Alert-alert-alert: Teerth Gopicon fell from Rs.774 to Rs.15 and Taylormade Renewables from Rs.856 to Rs.56. Several SME stocks have lost 50-90% from issue or listing prices despite strong results and optimistic presentations. Investors should stay away from SMEs unless they have genuine insights.

The Indian rupee strengthened by around 33 paise to close at Rs. 95.41 against the US dollar on Tuesday, recovering from its previous close of Rs. 95.74. The gain came as crude oil prices declined sharply and the Reserve Bank of India stepped in through dollar sales to support the domestic currency.
