  • Daily Morning Report
  • NIFTY OUTLOOK: 23,486.85
  • FII: ₹2,240.55 cr | DII: ₹-696.37 cr
  • As discussed yesterday, the market moved as expected, showing weakness up to 23,452 after a decisive breakdown of 23,603. By the end of the day, Nifty settled near the support level at 23,473, closing at 23,486.
  • A bearish reversal pattern formed on the daily chart, with a long bearish candlestick appearing yesterday, indicating further weakness. Nifty may decline to 23,420–23,353, and a sustained break below these levels could drag it down to 23,287–23,273. If selling pressure intensifies, it may test 23,222.
  • On the upside, 23,557–23,621 may act as immediate resistance. A breakout and sustained move above these levels could push Nifty to 23,687, with further upside potential toward 23,753 if demand strengthens.
  • Bank Nifty Outlook
  • Spot: 51,209.00 | PCR: 0.85 | Max CE OI: 53,000 | Max PE OI: 49,000
  • On 26th March 2025, Bank Nifty closed at 51,209.00, down 0.77% from the previous session. The index faced profit booking at higher levels, with an intraday range of 806.65 points, hitting a high of 51,875.80 and a low of 51,069.15.
  • For today’s session, the previous day’s high of 51,875.80 acts as resistance, while the low of 51,069.15 serves as support.
  • Technical View on Daily Chart
  • Key levels for Bank Nifty today: Resistance at 52,081 and support at 50,800.
  • Yesterday, sharp selling at higher levels broke the 51,300 support, and the index closed below it. If Bank Nifty trades below 51,300, weak sentiment may persist, with a possible decline to 50,800. However, if it crosses 52,000 and sustains, an upward rally toward 52,500–53,000 is likely.
  • The Relative Strength Index (RSI) for Bank Nifty stands at 67.8. RSI below 30 indicates oversold conditions, while above 70 signals overbought levels.
  • Bank Nifty Day SMA Analysis
  • Bank Nifty is trading above all 8 SMAs (5, 10, 20, 30, 50, 100, 150, and 200-day) and below none. No bullish or bearish candlestick pattern was identified.
  • Macro:
  • 1. Dollar index @ 104.28
  • 2. Vix @ 18.33 (+6.88 %)
  • 3. 10 years bond yield @ 4.344
  • 4. Crude @ 73.20
  • Note: In the previous post on 24th Feb 2025, it was mentioned that crude oil would move towards $73.5–75. Bond yields and the dollar index were expected to stabilize and move upward. The dollar index has moved almost 100 bps, from 103.2 to 104.25.
  • Last night, Trump announced a 25% tariff on foreign-made cars and light trucks, effective 2nd April. This move signals his readiness for a tariff war. Experts suggest that it will take 1–2 quarters to assess the impact of these tariffs on various sectors, leading to higher inflation and a potential delay in the Federal Reserve’s rate cut plans by three to four months.
  • In equity markets, the US may underperform in the coming quarters, creating opportunities for emerging markets like Mainland China and Hong Kong. China’s equities are currently trading at a 12–13% P/E, significantly lower than India’s 20–20.5% P/E, making them more attractive for foreign institutional investors (FIIs). A significant portion of FII inflows could shift towards China.
  • Conclusion
  • Global investors will remain cautious as they assess the impact of tariffs.
  • For India, as the 10th largest trading partner of the US, higher tariffs could negatively affect companies exporting goods and services to the US, particularly in sectors like automobiles, textiles, and pharmaceuticals.
  • However, there are both risks and opportunities. While tariffs pose challenges, they could also boost domestic industries by making local goods more competitive. India can leverage this situation by promoting domestic manufacturing, attracting local investments, and strengthening trade agreements with other nations.
